_ Arts Initiative to Provide Clean Water and Education to the Maasai YouthMy Chosen Vessels (MCV) utilizes art as a visual language and tool to provide inspiration to drive the economy. We believe that art is beneficial not only to the artist, but to society. MCV art education program allows the Maasai youth a platform to be critical thinkers, problem solvers, and communicators; while allowing them to express the struggles they endure. MCV is dedicated to providing local Maasai schools, youth groups and Maasai safe houses with an opportunity to be a part of creative spaces where art, activism are economic development are realized. By teaching the children tangible skills and exposing them to new means of expression, we aim to empower them to impact their lives and change their environment socially and economically.
After visiting the Masaai villages and living with Masaai people, MCV has developed a practical and sustainable economic empowerment model that is based on arts, education and clean drinking water. Clean water is life source for any culture or community. Together we can be instrumental in providing this life source through our creativity, time and sincere efforts. MCV has made it simple for anyone to become part of this noble effort.
